MonumentA rough-hewn stone memorial bearing a polished metal plaque commemorates the American soldiers who gave their lives during the liberation of Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry in August 1944. Inscribed in French, the plaque lists the names of the fallen servicemen in tribute to their sacrifice. The memorial was dedicated on August 24, 2024, as part of the town's observance of the 80th anniversary of the liberation.
