Plaque for visitors:
V I S I T E U R S !
V I S I T O R S !
The place where you are presently staying is a part of the original
'Taxi-way' put into service by the german army during the occupation
(1942/1943) to connect the two runways of the air-base with the
opposite 'poplar-plantation' which served as repairs and controls
area for the damaged aircrafts.
During its stay on the site (Oct 1944/Apr. 1945) the 386th bomb group
of the U.S.A. Air Force used it for the same purposes.
