George M. H. Hurley was born on October 19, 1919. He was a resident of Washington, D.C. and was graduated from high school there after growing up in Landover, Md. until he was 18. 1LT Hurley was a Squadron leader, Navigator, and Bombardier in the 554th Bomber Squadron, 386th Bomber Group, Medium. He was Killed in Action on March 31, 1945 when his plane was shot down over Karlsruhe, Germany. He is now buried in the Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Prince George's County, Maryland, USA.
