Robert Wayne "Rabbit" Bledsoe was born on June 26, 1922 in Vanndale, Arkansas. He was the son of William Neal Bledsoe and Effie Mae Crawford Bledsoe. Robert served in the 553rd Bomber Squadron, 386th Bomber Group, Medium, as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. Lt Bledsoe’s Martin B-26G Marauder 44-67827 crashed on returning to base 29 Dec 1944. He is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery, Dinozé, France.
