From THE AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE IN AND AROUND DIJON website (https://aefdijon.wordpress.com):

The war memorial in Is-sur-Tille was built in 1923. It has also been restored several times in recent years. This monument is the work of Ovide Yencesse. On its back, under the title "To the Dead of the American Army," is written a list of 238 names of American soldiers who died at "Camp Williams" since 1917. These include the names of Privates, First Class, Corporals, Sergeants, Cooks, Railway Workers, and a Lieutenant.

Special thanks to the Société d'histoire Tille/Ignon (SHTI) for assistance with this memorial.
