Kenneth Ladell Walcott was born on October 10, 1922, in Valley Mills, Texas. He was the son of Phillip Carney Walcott and Cora Nellie Burns Walcott. He was married to Dorothy Earlene Sellers Walcott. He served in the United States Army with the 740th Tank Battalion in World War II. Known as the “Daredevil Tankers”, the 740th was a separate battalion that fought from Utah Beach all the way to the Baltic Sea in support of various divisions of the US war effort.

Kenneth was a self-employed excavator before retiring. He died on January 13, 2018, and is now buried in the Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale, Tarrant County, Texas, USA.
