Leon Arbin Reeves was born on November 18, 1923, in Marysville, Cooke County, Texas. He was the son of Arbin Matterson Reeves and Lillie Mae Wood Reeves. He was married to Mildred Ilene Goins Reeves. He served in the United States Army with the 740th Tank Battalion in World War II. Known as the “Daredevil Tankers”, the 740th was a separate battalion that fought from Utah Beach all the way to the Baltic Sea in support of various divisions of the US war effort.

After his military service, he worked in sales and marketing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Marcos and had been an active Mason for 43 years, holding dual membership in Midland Lodge 623 and Gonzales Lodge 30. T3 Reeves died on November 5, 1991, and is now buried in the Gonzales Masonic Cemetery, Gonzales, Gonzales County, Texas, USA.
