Dans les caves de ce chateau ont ete retenus prisonniers
en Juin 1944 les survivants du bombardier américain
B-17SN2102463 de la mission 441 abattu le 25 juin 1944
par la flak Allemande au dessus de CORNEBARRIEU.
En reconnaissance aux 8 aviateurs Americains survivants
lors de leur visite de ce site le 25 Juin 2001,
et à la memoire du Lieutenant H. M. Gnessin
tué a 24 ans ce jour là en service commandé.

Town of Blagnac
The survivors of the US B-17SN2102463 from mission 441 were held prisoner in the cellars of this castle in June 1944 after having been shot down by German flak over Cornebarrieu on June 25th 1944. With thanks to the eight American survivors who visited the site on June 25th 2001 and in memory of drafted Lt HM Gnessin, killed at 24.
