A rectangular commemorative plaque mounted on the building's exterior wall, engraved with French text honoring the residence of John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams at the Hôtel de Verrières between August 1784 and May 1785. They stayed there during John Adams' diplomatic mission representing the United States in Europe after the American Revolution.
