The site is a former hotel located approximately 3.1 km southwest of the Paris 16th arrondissement’s town hall, at the Rue d'Auteuil and Rue Donizetti junction. As of 2026, Hôtel de Verrières is used as a CNRS administrative and research facility. It has served as part of the Centre national de la recherche scientifique since 1993.
