Commemorative Object

A polished metallic sculpture of an airplane, featuring a plaque on its upper left side that highlights the aviation legacy of Major Harold Clark and the historical significance of Clark Freeport Zone, formerly a major U.S. airbase. The artwork was crafted by Raphael Daniel O. David.

Monument Text:

''Clark was named after the pioneer aviator Major Melville Clark. 

Born in Minnesota and raised in Manila, Clark completed the first roundtrip inter-island flight in the Hawaiian Islands. He died on 2 May 1919 in a seaplane crash in the Panama Canal.''
