Isolated Burial
The isolated burial of Bill Tucker. The side plaque of the monument indicates that his ashes were interred here. William Humphrey "Bill" Tucker, Jr. was a soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division, specifically in the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He served during World War II and was involved in the Normandy invasion in June 1944. Tucker had a close bond with his fellow paratroopers and wished to be laid to rest near them. After he died in 2008, his ashes were interred here.
