Flight Sergeant 'Wick' Wicker lost his life in April 1942 when his Eagle 133 Squadron's Supermarine Spitfire (#BM264) Vb aircraft was shot down by the enemy, crashing in the sea near Dover.
Wicker was born in Cook County, Illinois in 1922 and did his flight training in Canada. He served with the 133rd Eagle Squadron, a Squadron consisting of Americans.
