1Lt John Leavitt Carter Memorial
Details:
On the south side of the road.
The memorial is comprised of (1) a metal monument in the shape of an airplane tail, (2) a low, hewn, brick wall, and (3) a short stone obelisk. All are bearing memorial plaques that are written in French. The plaque for 1Lt Carter is affixed to the airplane tail. There is also an info sign nearby that tells the story of 1Lt Carter’s crash.
