Born in 1923 in Cook County, Illinois. Co-pilot of the B-25 Mitchell type J serial number 43-4013 that took off from Alesan, Corsica on a mission to bomb the rail lines around Avignon. France. Shot down by flak at 0918. The aircraft was cut in two. Three crewmembers survived and three were killed. LT Yellon did not survive the crash.
