Marvin Lester Roberts, Jr. was born in 1924 in Lake County, Florida. He was the son of Marvin Lester Roberts and Maude Catherine Smith Roberts. Marvin served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in Company D, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on January 15, 1945 during the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium and is now buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Groveland, Lake County, Florida, USA.
