Description:
The dirt road on the SE bend of La Plesse road past the caretaker's house contains a memorial to a downed US plane and its load of parachutists.

Take the N13 SE from Cherbourg to Sainte-Mere-Eglise then the D15 SW to Etienville. Turn S on the D24 go past the camping to La Guenauderie. Take the Route de Longuerac W then merge W with Le Hameau de Haut then turn SW on La Plesse past La Societe du Bois de Limor and head SE past the caretaker's house. The monument is on the first SE bend of the road after that on a dirt path visible from La Plesse road.
