Description:

The site has a monument commemorating the five American airmen of the ''Classie Lassie'' flying fortress of the 323rd Bomb Group that crashed at Omonville-la-Rogue during World War II. Omonville-la-Rogue is a former commune that on 1 January 2017, was merged into the new commune La Hague.

Take the D901 NW from Cherbourg then the D45 from Querqueville. After passing Beaumont-Hague towards Omonville-la-Rogue, right after a curve in the road and before descending into Omonville-la-Rogue, turn right onto the road marked out by a sign saying "Stele - 2eme Guerre Mondiale". Go straight about 100m along the soccer field and turn onto the perpendicular road that intersects and goes along the soccer stadium as well. The monument is on the right at this intersection.
