The site is situated on the northern outskirts of Les Rives, about 2.2 km from the town hall. The site is located on the Larzac plateau, positioned along the D151 road, roughly halfway between the village of Les Rives to the south and the intermittent Lac des Rives (ephemeral lake) to the northwest.
