Back to Search Result

Description:

In front of the cemetery is a monument dedicated to five Ireland-born soldiers who served in the United States Army and fell during World War I and World War II.

Address:

Strade , F26 , Strade , , , Ireland

The cemetery is situated on the eastern edge of Strade village in County Mayo, just beyond the soft bend of the local road named Strade, which splits off from the N58 near the village center. A short walk to the west leads to the main crossroads, marked by the Michael Davitt sculpture at the junction of the N58 and Knockagauran Road. From that central point, the cemetery lies only a few meters to the east, positioned along the outer boundary of the historic friary grounds.
