Lierneux - Saint Isidore Church
Description:
On the exterior wall of the church is a plaque honoring the paratroopers of the 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion for their initial attack, as well as their commander, Lieutenant Colonel Wood Guice Joerg, who was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.
