Description:
The site features a plaque honoring Lieutenant Audie Murphy and Captain Charles P. Murray Jr., both Medal of Honor recipients recognized for their extraordinary heroism during World War II. It also pays tribute to their service in the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division, the unit that liberated Salzburg, Austria, in May 1945 and subsequently served as the American occupation force.
