Description:
The site includes statues of former U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush and General Harry Hill Bandholtz. Reagan is honored for his role in ending the Cold War and advancing Hungary’s freedom from Soviet control, while Bush is recognized for his support of Hungary’s democratic transition in 1989. BG Bandholtz is remembered for his bravery in saving Hungarian treasures at the end of WW1.

The Liberty Square is situated on the town center, about 1.8 km south of the Budapest town hall. It is across the street from the US Embassy. The square is framed by its own perimeter road and is accessible through adjoining streets such as Zoltán utca, Perczel Mór utca, and Vécsey utca. Szabadság tér is translated to Liberty Square.
