Biriatou Forest

In the forest is a monument commemorating Second Lieutenant James F. Burch who was drowned in the Bidasoa River during World War II.

The site is situated on the southern outskirts of Biriatou, about 3.7 km from the town hall. From the town hall of Biriatou (Mairie de Biriatou), begin by heading south along the D810 road. After a short distance, turn onto Chemin de Licarlan. From there, follow the path into the forested area within the woods along a trail. The path may only be accessible by foot or bike.
