The church is situated in the center of the former commune of La Croix-Avranchin about 140 meters west of the village hall. The main entrance to the church is located near the D30/ Rue St. Jacques de Compostelle and Pass. de la Mare junction. On 1 January 2017, La Croix-Avranchin was merged into the commune Saint-James.
