The site has a monument commemorating Colonel Louis Mendez and the men of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) of the 82nd Airborne Division, who participated in the liberation of Prétot. On the monument, a plaque commemorating Lieutenant Gene H. Williams who was killed in the area during World War II is attached. Prétot-Sainte-Suzanne is a former commune that was merged into the new commune of Montsenelle on January 1, 2016.
