Cornebarrieu -Ancien Cimetière (Cemetery)

Description:

Inside the cemetery is a cenotaph with a memorial plaque of Lieutenant Aviator Harold Gnessin, Bombardier on a flying fortress B-17G # 42-102463, shot down by the German D.C.A. in the sky of Cornebarrieu on June 25, 1944, during a mission for the liberation of France.

The Ancien Cimetière de Cornebarrieu cemetery is situated in the center of Cornebarrieu, about 600 meters west of the town hall. The entrance to the cemetery is located at the M65/ Rte du Stade and Rte de Pibrac junction.
