In the churchyard is the isolated burial of Flight Sergeant Stanley Edward Bostwick, an American aviator who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II.

Magleby in Langeland is at the southern end of that island, which lies between Fyn and Lolland. The church is on the road to Kirkeby which is south of the village. The Commonwealth war graves are to the right of the church.
