The site contains a memorial stele for Robert Capa, a Hungarian-American war photographer and photojournalist who was considered by some to be the greatest combat and adventure photographer in history.

This roundabout is situated about 1 km southwest of the city hall. The roundabout converges with Boulevard Fabian Ware, Chemin des Marettes, and Rue des Cordeliers. The memorial is at the corner of the latter street.
