L'Ormeau

The site contains several memorials in tribute to 75 Americans killed during the fighting for the liberation of Plabennec and Plouvien on 8 and 9 August 1944.

The site is in the hamlet of L’ormeau, about 4.4km south of Plabennec commune center. Exit the commune via D788 and travel south for about 3km. You will end at the junction of Kerlin. Take this road and head towards the south taking the first junction. Travel this road all the way to the south without taking any junctions. The road will end at an intersection in the hamlet of L'ormeau and from there you'll also be able to see the memorial.
