The site is located south of the capital city of Honiara, in the Tandai suburb in the Solomon Islands. The site is just off the road, north of Mount Austen (Elevation 1514'). The site is located in an area known as the Gifu and is about 9 kilometers southeast of the World War II Guadalcanal American Memorial (ABMC).
