The site is on the northern outskirt of Neuville-sur-Sarthe about 2.3km from the commune center. This is on the north and outside the hamlet of Montheard and can be accessed via Montheard Road south of the TGV line. The site is part of a former U.S. airfield and is actually closer to the commune of La Bazoge than to the communes of Neuville-sur-Sarthe and Montreuil.
