RAF Thurleigh (pronounced "thur-lie") is situated on the northern outskirts of the village. This is located 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the village of Thurleigh on farmland between the farms of Buryfields, Bletsoe Park, Manor, and Whitwickgreen.
