Description:

The site includes two Isolated Burials (ISOB) for two Irish-Americans: one who died while fighting during the Korean War in 1951 during the Battle of Bloody Ridge; and, the second a soldier who survived the sinking of the Titanic and died during the Battle of the Meuse-Argonne in World War 1.

The site is located in the Ballydesmond cemetery adjacent ot the St. Patrick’s Church. Ballydesmond, formerly Kingwilliamstown, is a rural village in County Cork, Ireland. It lies on the Blackwater River on the Cork-Kerry border. It is located at the junction of the R577 and R578 regional roads and the site is behind the church.
