The site is located in a rural area near the former town of Zhůří, near Čachrov; Zhůří, was destroyed during WW2. Čachrov is a town in Klatovy District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic, about 15 kilometers south of Klatovy, The site is next to the Zhůří Chapel (Kaplička Zhůří). The site is known locally as the Monument for the Fallen (Památník padlých bitvy o Zhůří)
