Iola- Monte Terminale

The site includes one memorial remembering the 10th Mountain Division conquest of the peak in March 1945; trenches from the battle are adjacent to the monument.

The site is located on the peak of Monte Terminale (1008m) and is accessible by a hiking trail. The trail head of a loop trail (Trail 442) is located across the street from the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena (Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena) in the small hamlet of Iola, in the commune of Montese. The site is located 60 kilometers south of the city of Modena in the Apennines mountains in Italy. A museum in the town of Iola, adjacent ot the church, offers guided tours to the peak.
