The site includes three memorials: a museum remembering the Airfield’s service during both World Wars and post-War usage; A marker and a memorial to the US Fighter Group that used the airfield during the Second World War.

The site is located on a former military airfield used during the First and Second World Wars. Today, a small civilian airport is located on the site. Fowlmere is one of the southernmost villages in Cambridgeshire, England. It is very close to the Imperial War Museum - Duxford, and 9 miles southwest of the city of Cambridge located just off the London Road between Fowlmere and Royston. The site is in the Region of the East of England.
