Description:
The site includes two memorials: the first is three plaques remembering the liberation of Iola and a 10th Mountain solider who died during the liberation. The second memorial is a museum, which includes displays to US operations in the area in WW2.

The site is located on both sides of the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena (Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena) in the small hamlet of Iola, in the commune of Montese. The site is located 60 kilometers south of the city of Modena in the High Tuscan-Emilian Apennines mountains in the Italy.
