The site is the peak of Mount Belvedere (1140m). The site is about 75 kilometers south of Bologna and 90 kilometers north of Florence (Firenze). From the town of Querciola di Lizzano (where there is another 10th Mountain monument is located at Piazza 10th Mountain Division), take SP 66 for 2 kilometers (Km marker 2) and make a right on to Via Calcinara. On Via Calcinara go 1 kilometer (taking the first two lefts) to where the road turns into a trail. Follow trail and trail makers to Monte Belvedere (About a 20 minute walk) peak. The site is next to the Castello (Castel) di Monte Belvedere.
