He was Killed in Action but declared "Missing" on July 19, 1918 and is memorialized on Tablets of the Missing, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, Belleau, France. He also has a marker in Zion Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA. His name is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as PVT N SCATTEDINI.
