When Oscar Price was born on June 2, 1892, in Pollock, Louisiana, his father, William, was 35 and his mother, Francis, was 29. He had three brothers and two sisters. He enlisted in the Army in April, 1917 at Monroe. He was a resident of Pollock, Grant parish. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company H, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 11, 1918 and is now buried in Alexandria National Cemetery, Pineville, Rapides Parish, Louisiana, USA.
