Frank Elmer Malone was born on March 17, 1892 in Springdale, Wisconsin, son of William A. & Caroline (Ottenberg) Malone. He had one sibling, a brother Alva. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company F, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on May 29, 1918 and is now buried in Somme American Cemetery, Bony, France. His name is inscribed on Cantigny monument under Company K of 16th Infantry Regiment.
