Charles W. Kelley was born on August 2, 1919. Kelley was assigned to the 357th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Group in 1944. On November 26, 1944, he was killed in action piloting P-51B (42-106910), in a collision with Lieutenant Bernard Barab's aircraft . Neither of the two pilots parachuted. He is now buried in Mount Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Crimora, Augusta County, Virginia, USA.
