Byron L. "Junior" Hill was born on 1921. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a First Lieutenant in the 357th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Group. He entered the service in Illinois. Pilot of the P-51B, serial number 43-6980, he was killed in action on April 5, 1944. He is now buried in Mulkeytown Cemetery, Mulkeytown, Franklin County, Illinois, USA.
