When Robert F. Loepp was born on May 29, 1918, in Cleveland, Ohio, his father, Paul, was 30 and his mother, Elsie, was 27. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a Technical Sergeant. He was inducted into the Army in March, 1942, and went overseas in May, 1943. He died on October 4, 1944, was initially buried at Villeneuve-sur-Auvers in France and is now buried at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Brooklyn Heights, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA.
