Robert B. Bazydlo was a Private First Class for the 11th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division during World War II. PFC Bazydlo died of his wounds during the conflict and received the Silver Star for his actions. Bazydlo was initially buried in the temporary American Cemetery of Villeneuve-sur-Auvers, near Paris. His current burial location is at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, USA. Bazydlo Street at Fort Polk, Louisiana, was named in his honor.
