Calvin Henry Hoppes was born on March 1, 1923 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Nathan Henry Hoppes and Mary Ann Klee Hoppes. Calvin served in the 6th Naval Beach Battalion as a Seaman First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 at the age of 21 in France and is now buried in Bellemans Church Cemetery, Mohrsville, Berks County, Pennsylvania, USA.
