2nd Lt Gordon S. Raschke, bombardier of the B-26 Marauder 42-95910 “Wizard of Koz”, took off from station 169 in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, UK on a bombing mission over Siracourt. They were shot down by flak at 1940. Raschke was killed.
