"Sergeant William Dittmars Rappleye, son of Snyder Charles Rappleye and Daisy Rose Denis, was born 1925 in Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York. He married Katherine Louiese Thompson in 1942 in Broward County, Florida. He and Katherine Louiese Rappleye were divorced in 1943 in Dade County, Florida. He died on 27 December 1944, while serving in the US Army. He was buried in the Lake View Cemetery, Interlaken, Seneca County, New York, in lot 378, age 19."
