Willard Lea Webb was born on November 1, 1923. He was the son of Arthur Barton Webb and Henrietta Endora Collins Webb. Willard served in the 324th Fighter Group, 315th Fighter Squadron as a First Lieutenant during World War II. He was killed while piloting P-47D Thunderbolt #44-20131 in a crash/explosion in Y-2 Luneville, France. He died at the age of 21 and is now buried in the Ridgecrest Cemetery, Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee, USA.
